Salted Shrimp

Ingredients

  • Whole shrimp with shell and head (To preserved the taste)
  • Salt
  • Chili
  • Garlic
  • Sugar
  • Fish Sauce
  • Lime juice

Preparation

  1. Put some fresh shrimp in a pot. Sprinkle a little bit of salt, then add water. (Height of water volume is approximately 1/4 of the Shrimp height.)
  2. Close the lid, then heat it until the shrimp is cooked.
  3. Put 1/2 teaspoon of minced garlic and a little bit of minced chili in a sauce bowl. Add 2 tablespoons of Lime Juice and 2 tablespoons of Fish sauce. Then add 1/2 teaspoon of sugar.
  4. Mix it thoroughly. Taste your sauce and adjust amount of Sugar, Fish sauce and Lime juice for the flavor that you like.
  5. Serve the shrimp with your Thai seafood sauce.
