About:

KaNhom Jeeb is an appitizer that is adopted from Chinese cuisine. In Thai language, "KaNhom" refers to some groups of snack and "Jeeb" means tuck. Combining these two words, KaNhom Jeeb refer to a kind of snack that we place meat inside then tuck its wrapper.

Substitute Ingredient(s)

  • In case that you cannot find Jicama
  • you can substitute it with Water Chestnut.
  • (Caution: Water Chestnut are different from Ground Chestnut.)

Preparation

  1. Mix 250g of pork and 100g of shrimp in a food processor, then add 1.5 teaspoon of tapioca starch and 1 egg.
  2. Season the mixture with pepper, sugar and soy sauce.
  3. Wrap the mixture with Wonton Wrapper sheet and tuck the top edge around.
  4. You may use water to make the wrapper sheet stick together.
